Welcome to the Tower‘s website!
The staff and I are all very excited to have this site up and running. We hope you all enjoy it!
The plan to make the Tower digital took some time to get off the ground, but now we anticipate being able to publish with more regularity. Last year, many events lacked coverage because of the way that issues and events fell on the calendar. Now, that won’t be a problem. It will take a while for our posting to become as regular as we would like, however, so please excuse us while we get accustomed to working with a new medium.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about the paper being online, in my opinion, is the ability for feedback and interactivity. Comments can be made on every article, though it might take a little bit for them to be moderated. The mandatory moderation may be eliminated in the future, but that is how the website is currently set.
Aside from comments, there is a form in the right sidebar that allows for each reader to suggest article ideas. Though the staff and I want to cover as much information as possible, we are not always aware of what is going on in all corners of the Graceland community. This tool will allow us to better distribute specific information to a wider segment of campus. Feel free to send us any and all article suggestions! General suggestions about how to improve the site are also welcome.
If you are interested in being a writer, being a social media correspondent, or being a photographer, feel free to contact us and let us know! Meetings are generally held on Saturdays at 4:00pm in the Helene Lounge.
The staff and I hope you enjoy this new, digital version of the Tower!
